Line 3 runs in the East-West direction along Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and Prince Saad Bin bdulrahman Al Awal Roads, starting at the west near Jeddah Expressway and ending at the east near the National Guard Camp of Khashm El Aan over 40.7 km with 20 stations. The contract includes construction of bridges, tunnels, elevated & underground stations, depots, roads, systems for CCTV and public announcements, and SCADA with allied systems.
Schedule | ArRiyadh New Mobility (ANM) consortium was awarded the main construction contract in July 2013. The project is to be implemented during a period of four years, which will be preceded by eight months to prepare the detailed designs and to carry out the enabling works, the coordination for utilities diversion and the site preparation works, and followed by four months for system demonstration, trial runs and project handing over.
Remark | The project is expected to employ 45,000 people, and it will carry approximately 5,000 people
