The School In Kaivoksela Was Completed In 1966 As A Result Of The Design Of The Aarne Ehojoki Office. The Building Is Located On A Slope And Has 1-3. Floors. The Frame Of The Building Is Cast-In-Place Reinforced Concrete. The Facades Have Been Renewed With Clinker Plank Coating In 2016. The Sub-Floor Structure Is An Old And Renewed Reinforced Concrete Slab That Rests On The Ground, And There Are Also Pipe Ducts And Crawl Spaces Under The Floor Structures. The Load-Bearing Part Of The Upper Base Is Cast-In-Place Concrete. The School Has A Flat Roof Covered With Bituminous Cream, Which Was Renewed In 1980 And Partially Repaired In 2004. After The Needs Assessment, It Was Decided To Implement The Expansion As A Separate School Pavilion, Which Was Built In 2022. The Main School Has Also Been Partially Repaired In 2021-2023. The Actual Extent Of The Repairs Made Must Be Checked In The Needs Assessment-Project Plan Phase. Measures Have Been Taken After The Approved Needs Assessment, Which Is Why It Is Necessary To Update The Previously Approved Needs Assessment Into A Needs Assessment Project Plan.
