Project Notice

PNR 46298
Project Name AGRICHANGE: SMALL ENTERPRISES, GREAT OPPORTUNITIES Development of agro-food supply chains in the Molo River basin
Project Detail The action aims to develop the micro-entrepreneurial fabric of the small producers of the Molo river basin. The intervention logic is based on the promotion of eco-sustainable, circular and replicable and low-cost activities. The general objective is to increase the economic potential of small producers with innovative, inclusive and sustainable local development initiatives through the creation of two eco-sustainable micro-enterprises with high added value: pig and honey supply chains. Particular attention will be given to gender dynamics by promoting female entrepreneurship and effective empowerment. The swine supply chain, with particular attention to animal welfare, will be developed in the lower basin with the creation of a center for reproduction, realized in partnership with Rota Guido srl and a fattening circuit for groups of small producers, especially women for the change of gender dynamics in the pastoral field. The goal is the creation of a regional cooperative that unites the producers of the lower and upper basin and assists them in the promotion and realization of the Toraet Pork brand, synonymous with high quality, sustainable and guarantee for consumers. In parallel, a micro-enterprise will be formed for the production of high-quality animal feed at low cost and not in competition with human food. For the logic of circularity, the residues of the breeding will be used for the production of larvae. 5 micro-enterprises for mushroom growing will then be developed, as an activity with high added value, synergistic with pig farming with the aim to provide income and improve the diversification of diet products. The third integration will be biogas as a tool for reuse of manure to reduce the impact on the use of biomass for family energy consumption. The second supply chain will see the creation of a regional cooperative enterprise for the marketing of honey from the upper and lower basin with the promotion of 2 brands. A strong push will also be given to micro agricultural entrepreneurs with the distribution of improved hives and phytocells for the forage of bees. Two collection points will then be built in the two basins to collect honey from high-production areas that are not currently served. In the enhancement of ancillary services to the supply chain, a micro-enterprise for the production of improved hives will be developed,
