Work Detail Ten Argentine cities that make up the Argentine Network of Municipalities against Climate Change (RAMCC) participate in the international City Climate Finance Gap Fund project, which seeks to help cities in developing countries and emerging finance their projects in this field. The Gap Fund is executed by the World Bank (WB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the German international cooperation agency. Given this framework, the RAMCC developed and presented to the Gap Fund the project “Distributed generation of photovoltaic solar energy, preferably on the roofs of municipal public buildings ” . Once selected, it will be supported by the EIB and coordinated globally by GIZ. Specifically, the project will be implemented in 10 municipalities that are part of the network for 7 months, with the ultimate goal of delivering folders to each municipality with projects ready to be executed. The chosen cities are Puerto Esperanza and Posadas (in the province of Misiones), Bell Ville and Marcos Juárez (Córdoba), Godoy Cruz and Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza), San Martín de los Andes and Plottier (Neuquén), and San Miguel and General Pueyrredon (Buenos Aires).
