Work Detail The Tunisian module maker said its new product is based on p-type gallium-treated solar cells and is suitable for residential and commercial applications. The panel is available in nine versions with a nominal power of up to 505 W and an efficiency of up to 21.44%. Tunisian-based solar panel manufacturer Ifri-Sol has unveiled a new solar module for rooftop applications with a power output of up to 505W and a power conversion efficiency of up to 21.44%. “The module can be used in residential as well as commercial and industrial photovoltaic projects,” a company spokesperson told pv magazine . “It is based on gallium-treated p-type monocrystalline solar cells provided by Chinese manufacturer Tongwei and Aiko Solar.” The new IF-HMW module uses 132 half-cut monocrystalline cells based on M1o wafers and rod technology. It is available in nine versions with a nominal power of 405 W to 505 W and an efficiency ranging from 20.88% to 21.44%. The open circuit voltage ranges from 35.13 V to 46.09 V and the short circuit current from 11-16 A to 14.01 A. The smallest panel in the series measures 1,709mm x 1,135mm x 35mm and the largest is 2,075mm x 1,135mm x 35mm. Its weight ranges between 21.2 kg and 26.2 kg. It is built with 3.2mm anti-reflective tempered glass and 3.5mm aluminum alloy frame. It also features an IP68 enclosure and the maximum system voltage is 1500V. The panel has a temperature coefficient of -0.35% per degree Celsius and its operating temperature ranges from -40C to 85C. The new product has a 25-year linear power warranty and a 12-year product warranty. The degradation in the first year is assumed to be 2.0% and the final power at 25 years is guaranteed to be no less than 84.8% of the nominal output power. Ifri-Sol currently has a module production capacity of 750 and plans to increase it to 1 GW by the end of this year. Its panel factory is located in Enfidha, in the northeast of Tunisia.
