Work Detail April 22 (Renewables Now) - Solar project developer Recurrent Energy LLC, which is owned by Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ), has launched construction of a 100-MW solar project in Mississippi, according to a statement released today. The Sunflower solar project is located in Sunflower County. Recurrent Energy recently secured USD 146 million (EUR 121m) in debt financing for it from Germanys Norddeutsche Landesbank, also known as Nord/LB, and Dutch lender Rabobank. The solar farm will be owned by utility Entergy Mississippi when it becomes operational at the beginning of 2022, according to a build transfer agreement signed in 2018. Canadian Solar will provide its solar modules for the plant, which, once operational, will produce enough power to supply over 16,000 households and save about 170,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.
