Under take cleaning inside shells & tubes with a nylon brush.e. Undertake cleaning with jet cleaner with a pressure of 4-7Bar and nylon brush for bundle tubes.f. Carry out visual inspection of corrosion on plates, shells and visible end of tubes. shall be.g.In case of doubt, an endoscopic examination to be carried out.2.Reassembly:a.Check condition of threads and cleaning of threads of collar-studs and nuts.b.Ensure No Scores & impact marks on contact face, if so re-face.c.Check condition & dimension of new gaskets before fitting.c.Greasing of collar-studs with Ti 2000 Molykote.d.Re assemble cooler with atmost care e.Fitting of new washers and hand torquing of nuts.f.Staggered torquing and application of 20 m.daN tightening torque in two runs minimum.3.Leak tests: Seawater side.a.Test the seawater system at 42 bar leak test pressure for 15 minutes.b.Check for any leak or pressure drop.4.
