Tenders are invited for Construction of the Lateral 22 and South Crossover Canal Piping Project and Supply of Fabricated Stainless-Steel Gates, Alfalfa Valves and PVC Fittings Donna Irrigation District is accepting sealed bid proposals for the Construction of the LATERAL 22 AND SOUTH CROSSOVER CANAL PIPING PROJECT and Supply of Fabricated Stainless-Steel Gates, Alfalfa Valves and PVC Fittings SEALED PROPOSALS addressed to Mr. Johnny Skalitsky, President, at the District Office, 101 N. D. Salinas Blvd. Donna, TX, 78537, will be received until Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, at 3:00 PM, for furnishing materials, equipment and labor necessary for the construction LATERAL 22 AND SOUTH CROSSOVER CANAL PIPING PROJECT and for the supply of materials, in accordance with the plans on file at the District Office. At the time stated, bids will be publicly opened and read at the District Office. An optional Pre-bid Conference will be held June 10, 2026. at 10:30 AM at the District Office. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined without charge at the District Office or the Office of Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC. Proposal forms may be obtained by calling Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC, (956) 364-2236. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents are available from Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC, for the non-refundable reproduction cost of $250.00. An electronic version on CD is available for $50.00. Material Supply Packages are available for a non-refundable cost of $25.00. All Bidders must be on Bidders/Plan holders List maintained and available through Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC. A CERTIFIED OR CASHIERS CHECK, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the Contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract with the District and furnish performance and payment bonds on the forms provided. BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. All work shall be completed within two hundred forty (240) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Donna Irrigation District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders, who, in the opinion of the District offers the proposal in its best interest. The prices submitted will be unit prices and the award will be based on the estimated quantity of work outlined in the bid form considering the work the Owner will actually perform. The work includes labor and equipment necessary to complete the piping of the Lateral 22 and South Crossover Canals including earthwork, installation of Owner Supplied bypass line, PVC Pipe and Fittings, construction of Irrigation Wells, construction of Irrigation Outlets and any other incidentals necessary.
