General Procurement Notice For Niger Adaptive Safety Net Project 2The Adaptative Social Nets Ii Wadata Talaka Project Is Structured Around Four Components Component 1 Strengthening The Adaptive Social Net System Sdr 3 6 Million Equivalent To Us 5 Million This Component Will Support And Enhance The Effectiveness Of The Social Safety Net System Including Its Capacity For Rapid Scaling Up Crisis Case It Will Also Strengthen National Crisis Prevention Mechanisms As Well As Planning And Monitoring Interventions Component 2 Monetary Transfers And Accompanying Measures Sdr 34 7 Million Equivalent To Us 48 Million This Component Will Administer A Cash Transfer Program For Resilience That Includes Cash Transfers Sub Component 2 1 With Accompanying Measures To Promote Investment In Rural Areas Childrens Human Capital And Livelihood Support To Increase Resilience Subcomponent 2 2 And A Pilot Project To Expand Cash Transfers Through A Disaster Risk Financing Mechanism Component 2 3 Component 3 Cash For Work Transfers For Resilience Sdr 13 4 Million Equivalent To Us 18 5 Million This Component Will Support The Implementation Of Cash For Work Programs Which Will Provide Additional Income For People Living In Food Insecure Communities Caused By Shocks Associated With Persistent Or Recurring Weather Or Climate Disruption The Compensation For Work Component Is Designed To Support Poor Rural People Who Have Been Affected By Shocks In Recent Years As Opposed To The Shock Response Component Which Will Be An Annually Determined Response Mechanism The Additional Income Provided By The Program Should Enable Beneficiaries To Stabilize Their Level Of Consumption And Protect Their Assets Component 4 Project Management Sdr 6 1 Million Equivalent To Us 8 5 Million This Component Will Cover Procurement Related Expenditures For The Provision Of Works Non Consultancy Services And Other Services Consultancy Services Necessary For The Management Of The Project
