Tenders Are Invited For Engineering Design For Alotau Urban RegenerationTourism Sector Development ProjectThe Objective Of This Consultancy Is To Develop The Detailed Design For The Following Sub Projects Central Road Network Rehabilitation Milne Bay Place The Central Road Rehabilitation Sub Project Is A Strategic Project For Alotau Town And Will Benefit Both Residents And Visitors Of Alotau And Surrounding Districts Of The Province This Sub Project Would Continue As A Stage 2 Of Stage 1 Project 1 From The Early Works Undertaken By The Department Of Works The Early Works Are Currently Being Delivered By Alotau District Administration Through The National Government To Upgrade Milne Bay Place Mbp And Include The Civil Works For Storm Water Drainage Installation Of Services Corridor Concrete Pavement Installation Of Stand Alone Counter Levered 3M Awning Outside Business Houses And Kiosk Slabs With Service Boxes For Future Al Fresco Caf S Including A Tourist Information Kiosk Improvements To The Streetscape Are Intended To Provide Information Amenities And Comfort For Visitors And Residents All Attributes Will Be Finalized Through The Detailed Design Process However Preliminary Ideas Include The Installation Of Art Works And Street Furniture In The Mbp To Make The Centre More Visually Pleasing And Comfortable For Visitors And Residents Rehabilitation Of Part Of Charles Abel Highway From Goilanai Bridge To Kb Primary SchoolThe Objective Of This Sub Project Is To Support The Rehabilitation Of The Town Roads From Goilanai Bridge To Wanigili Estate At Kb Primary School A Distance Of 3 4 Kilometers It Includes The Construction Of A Roundabout To Service Mbp Bus Stops Channel Drainage And Kerbs Survey Of The Road Section Rehabilitate All Road Infrastructures Including Drainage Arrange For Traffic Count Data For At Least A Week And Other Associated Tasks That Are Deemed Necessary This Subproject Will Upgrade The Road Infrastructure From Goilani Bridge To Kb Primary School Regenerate Existing Culverts Make Provisions To Meet Drainage Requirements And Deliver Improvements To The Streetscape Located Alongside The Entire Road Section Establish If The Existing Drainage System Is Sufficient To Cater For Increased Surface Run Off Due To Effect Of Climate Change Within The Life Span Of The Asset Enhancements To The Streetscape Would Also Include The Regeneration Of The Existing Footpath Installation Of A Solar Street Light System One Tourist Information Centre Cop Shop And Ablution Block To Enhance The Safety And Availability Of Information For Tourists Directional And Road Safety Signage Several Strategically Placed House Wins Benches Landscaping And 2 Ablution Blocks The Consulting Services The Services Include I Urban Design And Consultation Phase With The Key Stakeholders Including Review Existing Preliminary Designs Propose An Integrated Urban Regeneration Plan For Alotau Foreshore Composed Of The Four Subprojects Prepare And Implement A Subproject Specific Community Engagement Plan Ii Engineering And Construction Detailed Design For The Subprojects And Cost Estimates Iii Preparation Of Relevant Environmental And Social Instruments Iv Preparation Of Bidding Document The Consultant Will Conduct Specific Hazard Assessments To Assess Design Hazard As Well As An Assessment Of Residual Risk Which Should Include Identification Of Evacuation Routes In The Event Of Rare Natural Hazard Events Covering The Full Range Of Severe Hazards Tpa Now Invites Eligible Consulting Firms Consultants To Indicate Their Interest In Providing The Services For The Engineering Detailed Design Alotau Urban Regeneration The 2 Sub Projects Listed Above Interested Consultants Should Provide Information Demonstrating That They Have The Required Qualifications And Relevant Experience To Perform The Prescribed Services Such As Detailed Description Of The Consulting Firm S Background Core Business Years In Operations Geographical Coverage The Services Provided To Date Introduction Of Relevant Projects Completed Including Their Scopes And Costs Contact Information Organizational Chart Of The Firm Etc A Description Of Current Project Workload And Overall Staffing But No Individual Experts Bio Data Technical And Financial Capacity Available For This Project At Least Three References Contacts And Complete Contact Information Of The References Of Most Recent Assignments Successfully Delivered Any Other Relevant Information On Expertise And Or Other Unique Qualifications For This Project
